To put this ongoing debate to rest, the answer to that question is: guess it depends on what you are rating and comparing. Are you referring to (only) Scoring? Are you talking about championships won? Perhaps, you’re alluding to their overall impact on basketball culture and the league?
Well, if you want to get technical — Jordan has more Total Career Points (though, James has only 1,410 points to go to tie Jordan), Steals, Blocks, league awards and championship rings than James. James on the other hand, leads Jordan as far as Rebounds and Assists go. Therefore, by Jordan being the better all-around player, we have no choice but to deem him the best b-ball player.
