Wazzup Xclusive| Polo Shak Serves Notice With His New EP “Repeat”| @poloshak

Lets just say, “you’ve been Warned!” Polo Shak is back, and this time, he is reloaded with a new project that’s sure to set the industry on inferno! On Memorial Day, Polo Shak announced via CNN presswire that the Repeat Ep would be released as a follow up to his previous ep, “Untitled Album” in December 2021. The Repeat Album official release date is set for Independence Day, July 4th; however, industry insiders were treated to a special listening session on May 31st, which was met with rave reviews. In addition to major label heads, radio station personalities, and several brand giants were in attendance to the exclusive private event, Polo Shak released the first single “Blue Checc” featuring artist FashionStayTrending.

Review: Repeat

The Repeat Album begins with the up-tempo joint “Been Litty”, which sets the mode from GO! The anthem hits hard with Polo Shak delivering on-time punchlines! From there, the second track “Motivate The Youth”, is a timeless piece that hits home with a message of hope and inspiration. The third track “Blue Checc”  is a reality check that hits near and dear to the pains and struggle of independent musicians. Polo Shak and Fashionstaytrending goes in on the clout and position grabbers out there! Polo Been Verified!  Before you can catch ya breath, Polo hits you with the epic, “Labels Callin” featuring Broadway Jones. No explanation needed here! The next track, “Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah” goes hard with a well produced hook and even better flow. The following track, “Been Going Hard”, featuring Potok Philippe with adlibs from DJ Khaled is the perfect set up to the closing track, “Do Fo Dolla” which comes by way of Yo Gotti.

Since 2014, Polo Shak has been on a rampage to take over the industry. The single “No likes, No followers”, which was released to YouTube was the spark that put Polo Shak on the map World-Wide.  Polo Shak followed “2 Stacks” with the singles “Models and Bottles”, and “One Thing That I Hate” (remix) which featured fellow rapper Tik Hoyt. The following year, Polo Shak was invited to perform with artist Vado in TriBeCa, Manhattan as part of the group the YF Gang. In 2020, Polo Shak released the “12:08” EP which included 6 tracks featuring Jamaican hip-hop recording artist and producer Mike Beatz from Kingston, Jamaica, and Rich Starz. The attention from the 12:08 project led to a feature in Hip Hop Weekly magazine which expanded his resources and notoriety in the hip-hop community. During the Covid19 pandemic in 2020, Polo Shak released 12 consecutive music videos to his singles “Watch Her Groove”, “Everything New”, Pour My Heart Out”, “Love With You”, “Luxe Up”, “No Assumptions”, “Trendy”, “BOW”, “Jump”, “Toxic Shit”, “Que Tú Sabe”, and the single “Dubai”. Polo Shak gained traction on social media networks such as Kandiid, Instagram, and twitter, amassing a following of 230,000 followers and 1 million views. Internet websites such as The Hype Magazine, Sho-TimeTV, Cliche Magazine, Billboard Hip-Hop, Clout, and Genius featured Polo Shak as an up and coming rapper. In addition, Polo Shak was featured as front cover artist in International Music Magazine in the January 2021 and April 2022 issue. Polo Shak was featured in MezTheProd Rapaechelon Magazine annual “Indie Break 2022 Edition. Who knew? From being handpicked at the age of 7 to be on stage with Terror Squad hip-hop artist Remy Ma during a halftime performance at a neighborhood basketball charity event, Polo Shak would turn into a Star.

In May 2022, the “Repeat” EP was named HeatSeeker Album of the first quarter by staff journalists.
