Some say it has a blank lifeless stare; I say, “Amazing technology!” Toshiba created a humanoid robot capable of expressing various feelings and her name is Chihira Aico. According to Toshiba, her surname “Chihira” was named by meaning of peace of the earth in Japanese. Forty three driving devices and a newly developed algorithm were used to make her arms move so smoothly and to create humanlike natural facial expressions. Watch this video as she works as a Receptionist of Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store helping customers and giving directions.
