Vanessa Bryant emotional Eulogy brings Staples Center to Tears “Kobe & Gianna Bryant Tribute”
Los Angeles, CA~ The Staples Center; The Home that Kobe Built was the location for the Celebration of Life for Kobe Bean Bryant and Gianna Bryant Monday, 24, 2020. Family, friends, athletes, and entertainers from every end of the spectrum flooded the Staples Center to say goodbye to Kobe, his daughter Gianna, and the eight other occupants of the helicopter crash that took place early last month in Calabasas, California.
The ceremony opened with a beautiful performance from Beyonce, followed by the tearful eulogy by Kobe’s widow Vanessa that brought the audience to tears. Vanessa spoke elegantly about how she believed that Gianna and Kobe possessed a great passion to touch the lives others. With tears running down her left cheek, and hair draped over her right eye, it was visible that Vanessa was struggling to continue, but mustered the strength as she went on to speak of the close relationship Kobe and Gianna shared. “Her smile was like sunshine,” ” Her smile took up her entire face.” “They were so close! ” The eulogy was the perfect tribute to two of the most competitive souls to have ever lived in the moment. Their existence in this life couldn’t have existed with out the other. As Vanessa spoke of her “perfect husband” and “MVP of girls Dad” she drew both smiles and reflections of the good times which was evident in the faces of the many NBA legends such as Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Stephen Curry, Lebron James, James Harden, and Tim Duncan to name a few.
Vanessa thanked the fans and dignitaries for the condolences and outpouring of support.
