Takiyah “Phyr” Fowler — who was born in Fulton County GA — is a Queens artist capturing the attention of Hip Hop nation with a fresh and unique blend of music. “My background in performing arts — especially in tap, ballet, and jazz has significantly contributed to an out – of – the box type of style that I can truly call my own, “she said.

Phyr got her start singing in a church choir in Queens and later enrolled at a performing artist dance school. That led to performances in numerous talent shows with classmates an eventually allowed her creative juices to write music when she turned 10. “I enjoy writing my own songs, melodies, and expressive is what drives me today.”

Although Her passion lies within Hip Hop — Phyr also has a soft spot for pop, rock, and alternative music. “If you have an uncanny ability to effectively integrates and fuse different style and genres of music to create your own blend as an artist, the you’ve got something that is priceless.”
