Ordinarily, we seek to divert your attention to tracks with hit potential by unsigned and/or independent artists. This particular series, however, is a special case…for “California Numb” by Interscope Records singing sensation CLOVES is indubitably Grammy worthy and hands down the biggest Pop/Soul record to hit our ears, perhaps, ever.
Born in Melbourne, Kaity “CLOVES” Dunstan is an Australian singer-songwriter. Dunstan wrote her first song at age 11 and began performing at age 13 with her sister in local bars and pubs. In 2015, Dunstan took on the name CLOVES after an inspiring trip to Bali. From then on, CLOVES has been on an one-way, nonstop flight to the top with no intention of stopping for layovers.
When listening to “California Numb”, naturally it makes you think: “Wow, how in the freak’ does this girl sing like this!”. CLOVES easily leaves you in awe, for her voice is unlike anything you have ever heard. CLOVES herself has even admitted, “I definitely don’t understand where it [my voice] comes from.”. We’re not sure either CLOVES but we do know as long as you sing, we’ll never ever get tired of listening to it.
