Bill Cosby guiltyPhiladelphia, PA — A jury found Bill Cosby guilty on Thursday of involuntarily sedating and sexually assaulting a woman at his home nearly a decade and a half ago.

The verdict came in after 14 hours of deliberation, that lasted two days and was convoluted in its final hours in regards to the group reaching an unanimity on how to define ‘consent’. At the end of the day, it turns out that they determined that Cosby had not acquired permission on the evening that he purportedly slipped the former TU employee three pills while briefing in his Philadelphia home in 2004.

Following the guilty verdict announcement, the comedy icon looked over and shouted at the prosecutor in the courtroom! The outburst, which occurred after the jury was dismissed, came as a reaction to Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, District Attorney Kevin Steele’s assertion that Cosby’s $1M bail should be revoked, because, “Cosby might flee anywhere in the world,” Steele said.

Steele argued Cosby owned a private plane and that no dollar amount would be able to assure his appearance. Cosby stood up in the midst of Steele’s contestation and yelled: “He doesn’t have a private plane, you a**hole.”

Judge Steven O’Neill elected not revoke the bail, and noted Cosby’s elderly age and his appearance at all hearings for the past 2½ years as cause. “I’m not simply going to lock him up right now,” O’Neill expressed. “You are making a very big deal of something where there is a very high bail and he has appeared at every appearance,” O’Neill stated to Steele. The judge said the 80-year-old comedian should not leave his Pennsylvania domicile or the state. O’Neill too ordered that arrangements shall be made for Cosby to don a GPS tracking device.

The victim, Andrea Constand, has long contended that she fell unconscious and woke up to discover Cosby piercing her vagina with two of his fingers on the date in question. Her story was congruent with that of dozens of other women who have come forward with similar allegations but were not able to pursue justice as a result of the statute of limitations on their claims. Over the two weeks covering the trial, Cosby came face-to-face with five women who took the stand to testify against him.

Cosby was found guilty on all three counts of aggravated indecent assault. He faces up to 30 years (10 years in prison for each count).
