Los Angeles, CA — Yes as you can see, Adele was a total mess! We recently learned, that Eminem‘s track “Walk On Water” feat. Beyonce (off of his new album Revival) was suppose to feature Adele, rather than Queen Bey. Now considering the fact that Slim Shady is the top selling hip-hop artist of all time, with 155 million claimed sales, not making his latest project is enough to bring anyone to snot and tears (ask 2 Chainz, who not long ago posted an Instagram pic apparently disgruntled that he got cut from the final tracklist for Revival). However in this case, the “Hello” songstress was boohooing for an entirely different reason.
On Thursday morning, Adele grew exceedingly emotional during a ceremony to honor victims of the Grenfell Tower fire. The inferno broke out on June 14, 2017 at the 24-story Grenfell Tower block of public housing flats in Royal Borough of Kensington, North Kensington and Chelsea, West London. The blaze resulted in 71 deaths, including one stillbirth, and over 70 injuries. Occupants of 23 of the 129 flats perished, though 223 people escaped.
Adele was accompanied at the tribute by actress Carey Mulligan and her musician husband Marcus Mumford.
The lifting, multi-faith ceremony brought in an estimated 1,500 attendees to pay tribute to the victims of the fire. Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry all attended the service and all looked glum as they climbed the steps of the renowned landmark. The Duchess of Cambridge in particular looked sorrowful as she blinked tears down her face in the front row of the cathedral.
