Will Going Green Save the Planet? We Ask Seth Leitman “The Green Living Guy®”

“For a better tomorrow, we must first create a better today”, states Seth Leitman. Mr. Leitman is a twenty year advocate and spokesman for the go green initiative. He is up in arms when it comes to sustainability and preserving the way of life many Americans have grown accustomed to. Leitman, formerly of the New York Energy and Development Authority (NYSERDA) and the New York Power Authority (NYPA), is passionate in the quest to provide and create clean energy which will fuel every aspect of the future.

Seth Leitman is a man of many hats, but saving the environment is one that he serves with no compromise. As an author, blogger, podcast, television network owner, EV expert and President of the Greater Hudson Valley EV Association, Mr. Leitman is leading the charge for clean energy. Known internationally as the “Green Living Guy®, Leitman is leading the charge to persuade business leaders to implement more sustainable, environment safe initiatives to their business models. Leitman is the founder of Green Living Guy Productions®, which coaches companies in developing green campaigns to save the planet and stretch the dollar. “It’s a win, win for all involved,” states Seth Leitman.

Living Green, is not just a catch phrase, but rather- a way of life. Leitman, to date, has been a part of an initiative that has planted over 500+ trees, resulting in 80,000 kg of CO2 absorbed. As the world heads down the path of EV vehicles to save on the emissions released in the ozone, Leitman has personally argued for EV over gas powered vehicles for nearly two decades. By reducing energy consumption and waste production, we can take an active part in saving the planet. It’s a social responsibility of not only the citizens, but business leaders to join in the movement for a greener planet. By investing in electric vehicles, solar, water and wind energy, we can provide an eco-friendly and sustainable future.

Today, Seth Leitman is sought out all over the world for his green marketing strategies which are shaping modern culture. Leitman’s company conducts energy audits for various businesses to assist in building marketing campaigns towards clean energy and going green. Leitman has been tapped to speak on behalf of tech giants such as Panasonic and Tesla at the CES (Consumer Electronics Show), held every January in Las Vegas.  Leitman speaks of a cleaner future through the benefits of going green. The normal consumer thinks of the environmental advantages; however, the bottom line is increased profits, associate incentives, improved employee relations and the overall achievement of saving the planet.

In addition, Leitman is the author, editor and creator of a line of books, of the “Green Guru Guides”. It’s a total of nine books published by McGraw-Hill. It’s as a series that helps individuals and businesses recognize and implement actions to reverse climate change. In recent studies, it is estimated that the air temperature over land is increasing, the Arctic sea ice extent is diminishing, and the Ocean heat content is increasing by astronomical numbers. If we continue on the current path, we will have no earth to call home.  Leitman argues that the time is now! “We must reduce our carbon footprint, preserve the planet, and protect ourselves from the effects of climate change.”

These days, Seth Leitman can be found on his podcast, “The Green Living Guy® (Spotify, iHeart, iTunes and Amazon Radio) in partnership with Crossover Media Group. As for television, Mr. Leitman has his own network show on The Y Network, in which the topics are living green and informing the masses of amazing electric car news. Viewers can access the Green Living Guy Show® by downloading the Y Networks app or via Leitman’s verified YouTube channel. With season one in the books, season 2-3 are available exclusively on the Y networks, along with season 4. ~

Interview w/ Journalist Lamont “Renzo” Bracy

Renzo: Honest Question, Do you feel we are a little too late?

Mr. Leitman (The Green Living Guy®): Ha ha. Great question. I know there’s constantly doom and gloom in the news on this but no. We aren’t too late. We are late. But not too late.

Renzo: What has been your approach with business leaders? What are their biggest concerns regarding environmental issues?

Mr. Leitman (The Green Living Guy®): Businesses I never ever focus first on the environment to start. I want them to do things that are energy efficient, renewable, passive house or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) not first about the environment. It saves the bottom line. Crazy cash. Especially for business. That’s how they listen or say ok I’m listening. But it’s not just businesses I work with. I also help the government and homeowners or renters too.

Renzo: States such as California have passed laws mandating that only EV cars will be sold in the state after 2030, do you see the law being mandated Country wide?

Mr. Leitman (The Green Living Guy®): Well here’s the thing and great question. California laws are mandated in 17 additional states throughout the Country. More join every year. For example, New York, New Jersey just joined, Vermont, Massachusetts, Colorado, Oregon. Under the Federal Clean Air Act, states can opt for the Federal standards for fuel economy or join California’s mandates which are more aggressive by a long shot. Yet regardless. Texas will be building these cars. My mom lives in Texas. Every time I go. I see more Tesla’s on the road.

Renzo: What is at stake if we do nothing?

Mr. Leitman (The Green Living Guy®): Well if we do nothing the amount of particulates in the air will get worse which makes it way too hard to breathe. So it’ll get hotter every summer, less cooler every winter. More flooding, extreme weather. You know. The things that scare you like evacuate you home!  Bees will die and then we will lose 75% of our food stock. It can get ugly real quick that way. We might also continue to pay 18-23 miles a gallon at whatever price is dictated or we can go to 100 miles per gallon with acceleration and torque like you don’t even know with electric cars. Also less maintenance on an EV so it can save business, government and people on maintenance and energy costs. Plus if you charge at home a 100kW battery pack at 10 cents per kWh it’s $10.00 to fill up over 350 plus miles depending how you drive. It’s up to you and everyone out there listening. Just by going greener and watching things start to get better. I mean we have our ozone layer back. Who would have thought that 20 – 30 years ago? It’s

Renzo: Last but not least, what’s next? Where do you see the future?

Mr. Leitman (The Green Living Guy®): Well like anything, it won’t get easier. It might get harder. But once WE as a whole start getting greener, well then things will get greener. Also stay tuned. I have more in store. Check out my website https://Greenlivingguy.com Also please subscribe, buy one of my books and  donate it to a school or just shop on my Amazon store. Together and the more we learn as a whole and do something the more we can change the world!
