Jay 28 is no rookie to the game, at age 13, Jay began his career as part of the group MTM (More Than Music) and from there a star was born. From Def Jam to Universal, the labels started calling. Although the deals were on the table, Jay remained unsigned and focused on his first mixtape, “No Way Out”. The mixtape sparked the flame that went on to ignite Jay 28’s debut album, which spurned the hit singles “Out of My Mind“, and “Next to You” which amassed unprecedented views and downloads. Fresh off of the buzz from the first album, Jay 28 followed up with the EP “Thoughts of Royalty” powered by a promotional track “Ivory”, which produced numbers. The success of Thoughts of Royalty led Jay 28 to creating his own production company, “4ever Paid Productions”, where he was able to pave the way for local artists.
