Hello World! Meet Trap-Pop Superstar, Cʜᴀɴᴛᴀᴇ́ Vᴇᴛʀɪᴄᴇ !

These day’s Cʜᴀɴᴛᴀᴇ́ Vᴇᴛʀɪᴄᴇ is Everywhere you Want to Be! And I do mean, Literally! Born and raised in New York, Chantae is accustomed to burning frequent flyer miles as she splits her time between the Big Apple and Montreal, Canada.  As a result, upon meeting Chantae, you’re instantly drawn to the beauty and mystic that radiates from her sensational sense of fashion, make-up, and hairstyles. Simple and plain, Cʜᴀɴᴛᴀᴇ́ Vᴇᴛʀɪᴄᴇ is a Superstar!  It’s that outside of the box, upside down piece of art that goes for $10 Million,- Its that “IT” factor, which makes Chantae unique! As a Trap-Pop recording artist, Cʜᴀɴᴛᴀᴇ́ Vᴇᴛʀɪᴄᴇ  is hogging the lane of success, and leaving bread crumbs for those who dare to follow.

As a New Yorker, Cʜᴀɴᴛᴀᴇ́ Vᴇᴛʀɪᴄᴇ embellishes the lights and glamour in the city where Inspiration is never too far away. On the contrary, living part time in Montreal has its advantage in many facets which expands the realms of  culture with a complexity. The vast differences offers a playing field of creativity just waiting to be explored. Montreal, known as a city of refuge during prohibition serves as the epic center of free spirit and erotic Culture.

The Beginning

For Chantae’, how it  began, and where it’s going is one of the same! Some artist start strong and fizzle within complacency which ultimately dooms their career. Cʜᴀɴᴛᴀᴇ́ Vᴇᴛʀɪᴄᴇ , is not having none of that business.  She remembers starting her  her career in Atlanta, GA, where she worked alongside J Rell, a   well respected producer known for his works with Tyrese, Jamie Foxx, Maroon 5, and countless others. From signing a production deal with Anthony Dent (Diddy’s Hitmen) to collaborating with numerous artists and songwriters, it’s the persistence and energy Cʜᴀɴᴛᴀᴇ́ Vᴇᴛʀɪᴄᴇ embellishes that captures the soul.

Brands and Partnerships.

Shortly after residing in Atlanta, Cʜᴀɴᴛᴀᴇ́ Vᴇᴛʀɪᴄᴇ relocated to Ibiza, Spain. While in Ibiza, Cʜᴀɴᴛᴀᴇ́ Vᴇᴛʀɪᴄᴇ began the process of creating the woman you see today. The flare, dare, and nerves to be so damn creative was well worth every penny. From Pacha Magazine, to Ibiza style, and Ushuaia Magazine, Chantae was in high demand for numerous print and ad opportunities.  Today, Chantae is in partnership is the beauty/cosmetics brand Manic Panic NYC .  In addition, Chantae has a working project with Happy Munkey, a NYC based cannabis/lifestyle brand  The connection was made during a promotional run for Chantae’ single “ELEVATED”, which cumulated with her hosting the 1st Annual Cannabis night at The Immersive Van Gogh Experience at Pier 36 , in New York City.

Moving Forward

As a Trap-Pop artist, the genre demands one to create a persona which must correlate with the visuals. Cʜᴀɴᴛᴀᴇ́ Vᴇᴛʀɪᴄᴇ checks every box imaginable when it comes to fashion and modeling which is her passion.

Cʜᴀɴᴛᴀᴇ́ Vᴇᴛʀɪᴄᴇ redefines the genre of Trap-Pop with every track she records. I’ve heard many comparisons to Chantae; however, just when you think you can pinpoint a somewhat familiar octave! Chantae drops another classic banger, three X’s as funky as the last one! WT: Hello Chantae Vetrice’, Where are you from? Where do you Call Home presently?

Chante Vetrice: I’m from New York City. Right now I’m splitting my time between New York & Montreal, Canada.

WT: How did you you get your start in the Industry?

Chantae Vetrice: I grew up around music and was always encouraged to be creative while growing up. From the beginning of my professional career, I started out in Atlanta. I worked alongside some heavy hitters and it gave me invaluable experience that I still use to this day. But in order to get me where I am, I needed to discover who I was and who I wanted to be as an artist. During that time of self-discovery I was living in Ibiza…traveling, working on my craft with different producers and networking. After two years I came back to NYC and the rest is history! I’m an independent artist and my focus is on creating my own lane within this business…from my unique sound, writing style, and brand.

WT: Please tell us about your recent project(s) (albums,ep) dates and singles released?

Chantae Vetrice: I dropped my latest single “Momma” on Mother’s Day of this year. I was raised by a single, Black woman so I had to show my appreciation for all the women out here raising kids.  Right now I’m getting ready to release my next single the first week of August called “Wave Check.” It’s definitely a BIG vibe and I’m thinking about shooting the music video in Montreal.  And I’ve been thinking of starting to work on my debut EP. So, keep an eye out for more details on that!

WT: Who has been the biggest influence on your career?

Chantae Vetrice: My mom is my biggest motivation/supporter and has pushed me throughout the process, even when I thought of giving up! Outside of her, I’ve been heavily influenced by Gwen Stefani, Madonna, Janet Jackson, and Prince…just to name a few lol. Kinda hard to limit it to just one person, ya know?

WT: What makes your style “Swag” different from others?

Chantae Vetrice: I make the kind of music that feels right and authentic to me. I don’t follow trends or work on type-beats ya know? I grew up listening to all genres but really loved rock, hip hop, and pop music so I try to incorporate all of that when I’m creating. Also, I’m unapologetic in all I do.

WT: Who have you worked with? Who would you like to work with in the future?

Chantae Vetrice: I’ve had the opportunity to work with some amazing producers and DJs throughout my career so far. I worked with producer J Rell out in ATL (Jamie Foxx, , hitmaker/producer Anthony Dent (Destiny’s Child, Aretha Franklin, Diddy, etc), my current producer Kurt aka Lazerworlf (we have a special chemistry and understand eachother, musically…it’s a lot of fun working with him). Those are only a few that I have been blessed with the opportunity to create with.

In the future, I’d love to work with Pharell & Kanye West. I love how they think outside of the box and come up with crazy sounds!

WT: What’s been your most pivotal moment? (the turning point in your career)

Chantae Vetrice: I have had a lot of highs so far but I would say the turning point for me was when I built out my home studio. To some people that may not seem like a big deal but it has given me all of the freedom to do what I love when I want and how I want to. I can now knock out songs even faster & create at all hours of the day/night. I encourage every artist to have a home studio…you won’t regret it!

WT: Tell us about the Music Scene in Montreal? How does it differ from New York, or is it the same? What opportunities are there in Montreal, if any?

Chantae Vetrice: The music scene in Montreal has a fresher and more vibrant feel to it than NYC right now. I think this is largely because Canada, as a country, supports the arts and music! Artists are able to get funding for their projects and make a living doing just that…creating. Unfortunately, America doesn’t really value it’s creators and NYC has seen a huge exodus of artists/musicians leaving the city for other places like Los Angeles & Atlanta. Montreal is a whole vibe and feels like a little Europe…and we all know how loyal European fans can be. If you ain’t been here yet…I’d say get on a plane asap!

WT: Excluding your musical talents, is there any other aspect of your career, or life you would like to share?

Chantae Vetrice: Preparing to launch a merchandise line very soon. It has been in the works for a minute now but I wanna make sure when I drop that everything is right and we can make waves!

WT: Any upcoming events, or shows?

Chantae Vetrice: Right now I’m in creator-mode so, not at the moment. Stay tapped in with me for future announcements!

WT: What’s Next for Chantae Vetrice?

Chantae Vetrice: Releasing my debut EP in 2023, continuing to grow and giving my followers all i got!

WT: Waters Uncharted?

Chantae Vetrice: The ultimate goal is to take my talents beyond music and into the film/tv industry. I’ve always wanted to act. Also, I hope to build a music school for underprivileged girls/young women who need the help & guidance.
