Meet Amornay! A Sexy, Cool, all around songstress with the voice of an angel hailing from Brooklyn, by way of Long Island, New York. Amornay’s sensual blend of sultry lyrics adds value to the message she delivers in her new single, “You Want Me.” Released on May 1, 2022, the single speaks volume to the heart and soul of a woman who’s afraid to love in fear of being hurt again. “You Want Me”, is 3 minutes and 11 seconds of explosive sexual energy that is undeniable. Loosing one’s self is easy to do; but hating your in love, is even worse. Amornay hits home with “You Want Me”!

Amornay is on an incredible journey. Starting with her first single “Whatever You Want” in 2021, Amornay is gaining momentum in both views and new fans across an array of mediums. With the recent release of single “You Want Me” taking over airwaves, the WazzupTonight staff caught up with Amornay for an all exclusive interview.

WT: When did your music career begin?

Amornay: My music career began in 2018 at age 21.
I started out listening to instrumentals; created melodies and harmonies, then added lyrics.
I continued on that path to realize my next step was signing lessons. I still have the first song I
made.

WT: What genre would best describe your musical style?

Amornay: Definitely R&B. I deliver a smooth, relaxing and sensual sound.
My music can make you to get up and dance with a partner or get in your feelings.
My style is unique when it comes to my rhythmic sound and melodies that flow effortlessly.
Who are your Favorite Artists? / Who have you studied?
My favorite artists are Aaliyah, Janet Jackson, and Drake.
Celebrities I’ve studied are Will Smith (Motivational Speaking) and Jennifer Lopez (Work Ethic)

WT: How did you come up with your stage name, Amornay?

Amornay: When I was younger, I always wrote “Love, nay” in my books. So another word for love is amor in Spanish.

WT: Upcoming are your projects?

Amornay: My New Single, You Want Me. Coming out May 1 st , 2022
You Want Me is about a female who doesn’t want to commit to anybody or even commit to
love because of what happened in her past relationships. Even though she still entertains a man
she’s doesn’t want to fall for him… but deep down she does.

WT: What other experience do you have?

WT: What Makes Amornay unique?

Amornay: What makes me unique and stand out is my energy. I am very open minded and judge free. I
am also at peace and comfortable with myself. In 2008 age 11 I was diagnosed with Hodgkinson
lymphoma stage 4 cancer, and I beat it. So, my perspective on life can be a little different from
others. If I can beat cancer at 11 years old, then I can to anything.

WT: What obstacles have you had to overcome in your career?

Amornay: It’s difficult being a woman in this business, that’s all I will say.

WT: What are your Goals in the Industry in the next 5 years?

Amornay: To work with my favorite artists like Janet Jackson, Drake and Sade and to act besides Jennifer
Lopez, Denzel Washington, and Queen Latifah. I want to win at the Grammys and Oscars. And I
want to continue growing as a person to be successful, wise and humble.
