The Hype Magazine and Sho-time Battle Rap League Breaks Internet with Historic Showdown “Sorry 4 the Wait”

The scene was Mad Thick! The Shorty’s was on point, and the fellas came correct, representing the culture as they always do in the Bronx.  The much anticipated battle rap is a permanent part of the local scene as Karine “Sho-time” Thornton and his Sho-timeTV Is known to be everywhere hip-hop is represented. With an almost 4 month hiatus since the last battle, the  Sho-time Battle Rap League found it only fitting to name the April 2nd event “Sorry 4 the Wait”.  Located at 212 Willis Ave, in the Bronx, the private location was necessary to keep the Rap Battle exclusive to only the Hardest MC’s from the Burroughs’ and beyond. 

The Star Studded “Sorry 4 the Wait” didn’t disappoint; as the red carpet and step-n-repeat brandishing the Sho-timetv banner appeared, so did the guest list of hip-hop royalty.  The Scene was bonkers, with The Hype Magazine, D-teck, Talk Radio, B-Way, Slimm Goodie, CoCo Nicole, Norma Bayts of Queen of the Ring, Unsigned Hype Magazine, Its da Wave Media, and the Kandiid App came thru with two models.  The mood was Hey, Yo, Alright! The respective battle rappers took their positions in deep concentration for their opponent. LET’S GET READY TO RUMBLE………… host Monsta Meezy grabbed the mic and the night was in motion. Sho-time Battle Rap League 

The ”’Sho-Time Battle Rap League”’ (commonly referred to as ”’SBL”’) is a battle rap league based out of the Bronx, owned by acclaimed hip hop promoter and actor Karine “Sho-Time” Thornton from Bronx, New York City, United States. Successful hip-hop artists have hosted on the platform such as Loaded Lux, Goodz da Animal, and Murda Mook. The Sho-time Battle Rap League was created in 2015 by hip hop promoter Karine “Sho-time” Thornton as a platform for battle rappers to showcase their freestyle rap.
