1. Tell us about your life growing up Big Bushgi in the hood.

Well I’m from Southside Jamaica Queens “40p”, one of the toughest hoods in Queens. Growing up as preacher’s kid in the projects, you would think things would be easy and lenient, but for me it was rough at times. I grew up in the church but when I came home to these blocks, to me it felt like even God was scared to go there lol.

2. What inspired you to want to do music?

What inspired me to want to do music was my family. I come from a singing family full of musicians and dancers.

3. I see you have many accolades to your name. How did you get your start in the industry as a producer and who have you worked with in the industry?

Well at age 17 I signed a contract to a production company. They got my beats around for me. I’ve got comments from Vince Herbert that I’m very talented and I’m the next Dr. Dre. This happened at the time I produced a song entitled Lover Boy by the Omg Girls, Super Throwed by Game and Juicy J and a few other track I didn’t get credit for. This is how I knew my music was industry standard.

4. What projects are you working on right now and how do you plan to get it out there to the people?

Well I’m dropping my first official project July 31st. I’m also producing for a few up and coming artist. I also did a movie score of movie out now entitled “Prey Before You Eat” executive produced by Luc R. Stephens. I plan to get it out to people through straight promotion and grinding. I believe the product is so good it’s gonna sell its self.

5. Do you feel like you have something different to bring to the game? If so why?

I feel like I have a different love for it then others. It shows in my character and how I come across in my music. Plus my story is my story. No one can say they can tell my life, my struggle, my ups, and my lows, the way I could whether they were there or not.

6. How do you feel about the music playing on the radio today?

It needs me lol!!! I know it sounds cocky but I’m telling the truth it needs me for a few years lol.

7. Have you been involved in any community work that can help increase your fan base and expand your brand? If so tell is about that experience and how it affected you as an artist.

Yes I’m always giving to people in my community. It affects me as artist because all I want to do is make it, so I could do more change lives and give opportunities.

8. What are some of your favorite moments as an artist and what do you like to do the most!

Some of my favorite moments as an artist is seeing people enjoy listening to my music. Singing it dancing to it and I love performing my songs with my crowd when I do shows. One of my favorite moments of being an artist is meeting some of my favorite artist I listen to and are more successful. I believe I got the talent to meet and work with everyone who I’m a fan of that are still alive.

9. Where do see your brand in the next five years and how will the people be able to benefit from your services as a producer?

My brand in the next five years MadBushgiBeatz_LLC, I see 12 or more #1 hit songs along with 5 grammys/movies each year be it. I know it seems like a stretch but I believe its possible to create hit songs that are beneficial based off what I produced for myself and others.
