Wazzup Xclusive |Remembering 9/11, Twenty One Years Later | Never Forget

Twenty one years ago to the date, September 11, 2021, changed the World.  On that Fall Tuesday, 19 Islamic extremist of al Qaeda hijacked four commercial airliners and carried out the most horrific act of terrorism to be committed on American soil. The extremist group flew two of the airplanes into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, and a fourth plane crashed in a rural area in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The attack took the lives of nearly 3,000 souls, including the lives of the 19 extremists.  As today marks the day that will forever live in infamy, we ask all Americans to take a 2 minute pause of silence in remembrance of the brave souls who loss their life.

Since 9/11, the United States has been engaged in a non-stop war against terror and the countries that harbor terrorist. The consequences of the attacks are one that we as a Nation will forever suffer. Although the healing process has began for many, the scars will never heal.  The day will always occupy a space in our minds.  The loved ones, children, neighbors, colleagues, and first defenders that were killed that day hold a special spot in our hearts.  As I speak with those who remember November day in 1963 (assassination of JFK), they post a eerie resemblance of the way they felt scared, defenseless, and paralyzed with shock that such a evil could prevail. Let alone in America.

Today and this weekend, events will be held across the country in observance of the anniversary, to honor the heroes, and to remember the victims of that tragic day.
