Presidential Moment | Tom Steyer “backs dat a$$ Up” at South Carolina rally

New York, NY~ Who can beat President Donald Trump this upcoming November?  The field is wide open as Democratic hopefuls push on the campaign trail to become the nominee. With Iowa, New Hampshire, and Nevada in the books, the chance to win over votes is now far and in between.  With the last day of February (29th) slatted as the South Carolina Primaries, all eyes were descended on South Carolina which holds a pivotal  key for the nominees.  According to recent polls, Biden, Sanders, Buttigieg, and Amy Klobuchar hold steady leads; however, billionaire Tom Steyer was looking to bust a move that would give him leverage in the race.

The Friday before the primaries, a rally was held at Columbia’s Allen University.  Tom Steyer saw his opportunity to wow the crowd and took full advantage as he showed his love for the South.  The night was a festive event with all six candidates shaking hands and politicking their views and ideas to progress the country.

The rally featured gospel great Yolanda Adams singing “America the Beautiful”, and the soulful sounds of DJ Jazzy Jeff.  But what happened next, took the crowd by storm.  Tom Steyer was introduced by his wife and daughter whom did an amazing job of describing Tom’s passion for Greatness.  Without hesitation, Steyer took the mic and expressed that he had fallen in love with South Carolina, and commented that he had no plans of leaving.  For many, South Carolinians’, it was their first introduction to the Californian Billionaire.  Tom Steyer began by energizing the crowd with ideas and policies that deemed favorable with the crowd, then Tom stated; “We’re going to win this fight”, and confirmed that he is heavily committed to the South.

Rap Star Juvenile then took the stage and began performing his 90’s anthem, “Back That Azz Up”.  That is when, to everyone surprise, Tom Steyer grabbed the mic and began singing the lyrics as he did indeed, Back That Azz Up. The crowd went crazy. For a second, I thought Lil Wayne had jumped inside Tom Steyer’s body! Overall, the moment was well received and created a down to earth vibe which was reciprocated by the crowd.

South Carolina, a pivotal state in the South with a large African American population could just give the long-shot candidate the boost he needs going forward.
