Lady Raszmatasz Brings the Old School to the New School with ‘Make It Clear’

Let’s Make It Clear….It’s God, Family and the love of Hip Hop. Hailing from Queens, New York, rapper Lady Raszmatasz reconstructs new school punch lines with old school talent.

Lady Raszmatasz grew up with Rakim and his family. “I met Biz Markie, Kid Capri, EPMD, Pow Wow, Africa Ben Botta, Zulu Nation while they were laying tracks at different times at the beginning of my career”. But her talent didn’t start there. At the age of 12, Lady Raszmatasz began to realize her talent was more than a way to entertain her family but to get her point across. “Growing up in a big family, you couldn’t get a word in”. So when she started rapping, everyone would stop and listen. “As I learned how to make them all throw their hands in the air and wave them like they just don’t care and then scream, I had the whole family’s full attention. I knew I had skills and I loved it even more.”

Many lessons have come to her from being in this game. She reports experiencing, “The ups, downs, highs and lows from dealing with many people”. When asked about her past, Lady Raszmatasz states: “I was on a record with these dudes from Queens, but that didn’t work out”.

She continued on though performing at Ajax Park, Baisley Park, The Armory, The Roxy and rap contests in Queens and Brooklyn. “I performed twice out in California at a club called California West and at a California school event. It was amazing and the crowd loved it”.

Lady Raszmatasz came close to a deal out in California years back. “There was some jealous people, some going back and forth and it never happened”.

With a look at the current style of Hip Hop, Lady Raszmatasz loves the beats but is concern with the, “Vulgar and disrespect for women and young kids that follow”. She continues with the idea that, “We need to bring it back to being fun, connecting others, and expressing ourselves”.

She wants to send the message that, “You have to always remember when it comes to this game and life, there will be issues with trust, honesty, love, jealousy, the takers and people get funny but put God first and you will make it through”.

Flash forward to 2016 with her new single ‘Make It Clear’: “I’ve been blessed for the doors to open up again for me to shine”, said Lady Raszmatasz. ‘Make It Clear’ is the newest single by Lady Raszmatasz which can be found on her SoundCloud and self-titled Facebook page. She teamed up with Bizzy “The Beat Master”, a producer from Brooklyn “That’s fire with these Beats”, she affirmed.

She has upcoming performances at local NYC venues. She also will be performing her new single ‘Make It Clear’ June 11th at Wyandanch Day in Wyandanch, Long Island to help rejuvenate the unity of the community. This will be her second year performing at Wyandanch Day.

“Like fire burning with red flame”, for the old and new school, Lady Raszmatasz truly is an act to be heard and felt!
