Kevin Hart “What ? Now”

New York, NY –  Our favorite funny man, Kevin Hart is back with another gut-busting, comedy filled special that culminates into the big screen flick, “What Now.”    Directed by Leslie Small, and Tim Story, the highly anticipated comedy/drama takes a page from the likes of Eddie Murphy’s RAW, with a live special. Filmed outdoors in front of 50,000 people at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field, “What Now,” marks the first time a comedian has ever performed to an at-capacity football stadium.  The 37-year-old Philly native is on an unprecedented roll with his last three films; Central Intelligence, The Wedding Ringer, and Get Hard, compiling well over $500 million in box office sales, respectively.

Its been nearly 3 years since Kevin’s last comedy special, “Let Me Explain”.  Some critics argue that, following up the success of the epic special, which grossed $32 million domestically, would prove to be – mission impossible.  I will go on record to defend the bold prediction that “What Now”,  will easily surpass $40 million within the first week.

“What Now”

The film begins with Mr. Hart navigating his way thru mayhem in a sleek Aston Martin.  With Halle Berry on his arm,  Kevin (James Bond like persona) is a secret agent on an espionage mission which involves some real kick-ass Steven Seagal like moves.  The action-packed intro includes a tense confrontation with a mafioso boss and a blood sport fight scene that ends with Kevin screaming in disgust. The punchline is when Kevin asks Halle Berry,  where she was during the fight scene, and she sarcastically answers, “Kevin, I’m Halle Berry. I don’t get messed up.”  Kevin then drops a  hilarious round of punch lines at the roulette table, while mocking Don Cheadle.

Kevin begins the stand-up segment of the film by telling a harrowing tale about a crazy raccoon.  Mr. Hart, perhaps the master  of storytelling delivers on topics such as family life, animal attacks, and handling the highs of  fame.  In light of the humor, Kevin finds a way to discuss pain in the form of dealing with a divorce and infidelity.  It takes a man to render insecurities and fear to the masses, even if it’s thru comedy!

Kevin’s candid ability to bring an array of ethnicities together to share in a night of humor, illuminates the goal for a peaceful humanity, above all!

Review – I urge you to go treat yourself to the funniest, most well-produced film EVER. Once again, Kevin Hart knocks it out the park with “What Now!” Literally, Mr. Hart has it all, and begs the question, What Now?  Kevin Hart remains humble with a desire to achieve greatness!~Renzo
