Gibrilville | “Black Cadillac Season 2” | EP Review | @wazzuptonight
Brooklyn, NY — Gibrilville is on a meteoric rise, and it’s looking like nothing or no one is going to throw him off course.
Born in Accra (the capital of Ghana), Gibril “Gibrilville” Mansaray has emerged into a multiple Akademia Award winning recording artist and a multidimensional entertainer. Gibril gained his interest in music from his dads mammoth record collection, and from his older brothers intense passion for reggae music.
In September 2017, Gibrilville released a six track EP entitled Black Cadillac Season 2. WAZZUP Tonight took some time to sit down with the project—to listen and analyze it, in order to bring you the most accurate review we possibly can. And we’re here to say, it’s emphatically worth listening to!
Here’s our review on Black Cadillac Season 2:
1. “Jessica” — This Reggae joint comes with a melodic bass, and a captivating story about a girl by the name of Jessica. Amber’s voice (the female on the song) ideally compliments Gibrilville’s, and the pair collectively deliver to fans a quite hummable tune!
2. “Follow The Line” — A listen through your headphones while walking through Central Park on a cloudy/rainy day type joint! Could use Lupe or Kid Cudi on the remix. “The stars are all aligned..”
3. “Girl Of My Dreams feat Farouk” — “She’s white, I’m black, and we play like a piano..” Yeah, that kind of vibe! The drums and horns on this joint are super loco btw.
4. “Love Me Tonight” — Catchy hook! The instrumental flows, the transitions are seamless and the arrangement totally works. This track has single potential.
5. “Or Be Done With It” — Gibriville is speaking from the heart on this joint!Velvety song with a dense chorus. Anyone’s that ever had relationship issues, will feel G on this one.
6. “Just Like You” — Wheezy Beats hit this production hard! The subs bang, and the hook is attention-grabbing. Turn this joint up but, be careful not to blow out the speakers.
Well, there you have it! The EP is official, and exclusively verified by WAZZUP Tonight.
Gibrilville has worked with the likes of DJ Pain 1 (credits: 50 Cent, Young Jeezy, Ludacris, 2 Chainz), M1 (of Dead Prez),Eric ‘Coptic‘ Matlock (credits: The Notorious BIG, P. Diddy, Jermaine Dupri), and others. He’s assuredly on his way, and make sure you keep an eye out for his name on them Billboard charts in the nearby future.
