It Takes A Nation of Millions! Women’s Resounding Message to Washington| @wazzuptonight

New York, NYOn a Saturday that will go down in infamy, January 21, 2017 will be forever known as the day Women all over the World took up arms of unity. As the Nation watched the Inauguration of the 45th President, Donald J. Trump,  uncertainty and optimism grew in the eyes of a large majority of Americans. Thousands of women, many with husbands, boyfriends and children in tow, filled the streets of several major U.S. cities in an unprecedented wave of mass protests against President Donald Trump the day after his inauguration.

Thousands of Women activist powered by a strong defiance for bigotry, hatred, and discrimination galvanized all over the World. To estimates, hundred thousands of marchers in Americans cities such as Boston, Los Angeles, Seattle, Houston, Dallas, Chicago, Detroit, Washington D.C., Miami, and New York took to the streets in solidarity Saturday. Organizers planned for a small show of force; however, the crowds well exceeded projections. Although over exuberant over the efforts, it was the massive outpouring of support by marches World Wide that really sent a resounding message across the masses. The demonstrations in other Country’s major cities such as Paris, London, Seoul and Sydney is what solidified that the concerns are widespread.

The demonstrations come in wake of President Trumps campaign rhetoric and behavior that some found to be offensive and misogynistic. The planned protest was to include those with issues regarding immigration, environmentalist, Muslim Americans, race relations, and LGBT.

Moving Forward

The peaceful protest represented the division that remains in a country that is struggling with issues that transcend party lines. With President Trump foot on the gas pedal in a administration that controls both houses of Congress, it is the fear that Women’s rights will be pushed to the left of standards of public discourse.

President Trump faces enormous opposition from many segments of the public, in contrast to what many new presidents typically experience during the first 100 days of taking office.

According to a poll posted in the Washington Post, polls found President Trump had the lowest favorability rating of any U.S. President since 1970.

We caught up with the Co-CEO of Wazzup Media Group, Rosemary “Rose” Ducharme for her thoughts on the many Issues that surround the the 45th President of the United Stated, Donald Trump

WT: What is your main concern regarding your rights as a women in a Trump WhiteHouse term? RD: My main concern regarding women’s rights under the Trump administration  is the reversal of rights for women. Just this week, President Trump signed an executive order that bars government financial assistance in the matters of abortion.  As a result, the order reverses some of the liberties given by the Supreme Court decision,Roe v Wade decision.
Personally, I don’t think I could abort a child, but if I or anyone I knew had to make that decision, the choice should be up to them, respectfully.
It’s always been hard for me to conceive how men would consider themselves eligible to make decisions or legislate what a woman can or can’t do to their body.
WT: Do you think things will get better and why?  RD: My mind tells me, No!  However,  things won’t get better unless we stand up for our rights. My heart leads me to the belief that Americans couldn’t have voted in a President,  with no regard  for the people of this nation.
WT: Do you support President Trumps Twitter rants?  RD:  No!  Nevertheless Trump now has two twitter accounts.  I don’t read his tweets anymore; however, I use too, until I realized as each tweet was worse and more  irrelevant than the next.
WT:What advice would you give him?  RD: President Trump needs more advice than I could give him.  Off the top of my head: If I was in  charge of his cabinet, I would of included more diversity. At current they sorta look like an old white boys golf club.
He needs women, Hispanics, African Americans, LGBTQ , and a mixture of ages.
Secondly, I would have him turn his Twitter accounts over to a PR manager.
But most of all, President Trump needs to take time before he reacts to things.
A President,  should be Presidential!
Thank you Rose ~ Renzo
