New York, New YorkMy Ambitions as a “Ridah”! The song that play on repeat as the soundtrack to not only my life; but, into the hearts and minds of a Nation. Tupac Shakur was and still is a legend to many of true hip-hop fans and enthusiast all across the globe. When I heard the rumors of a possible bio pic to be made in his honor, I was flabbergasted over the sheer thought of the idea. Well the rumor has manifested, and the true untold story of the slain legend will be televised in theaters soon (All Eyez On Me / June 16, 2017). Tupac Shakur, played by (Demetrius Shipp Jr.) is the perfect personification of what it means to go against the grain. The man, actor, poet, and avid activist was born in Harlem New York, where he rose to fame by becoming one the world’s most prolific figures of the century.
The Bio pic (All Eyez On Me) has been in the works for some time now; however, the wait is over! On what will be Tupac’s 46th birthday (June 16th), the film directed by the legendary Benny Boom will hit screens all over America. Tupac, portrayed by up and coming star Demetrius Shipp Jr. re-enacts the life of Pac through a lens never seen before. The film also features a bright:  stars Kat Graham, Lauren Cohan, Hill Harper, Jamal Woolard, and Danai Gurira. The biopic is written by Jeremy Haft, Steven Bagatourian, and Eddie Gonzalez (VIII)
Before his death at age 25, Tupac had starred in numerous motion pictures and well on his way to music’s hall of fame. His legacy lives on through various outreach programs that keep his revolutionary impact ongoing through cultural acceptance for all.
Recently, a slew of reports and rumors have surfaced regarding the controversial events surrounding Tupac’s death. The reports stretch the realms of sightings every week, to speculations that the CIA killed him in some kind of secret operation to stop any potential movement he could of started. Well, I just want to add my tidbits to the conversation by saying what I believe; ” I believe the World lost one of the realest soldiers who stood up for injustice and social equality.” The Who, How, and Why may never be settled; however, the point that remains, Tupac life will be in vain if we fail to remember, and apply the energy and philosophical strong points he represented. Tupac was one of the first artist to have real meaning in my day to day walk. I urge everyone to go out and support this amazing film.~ Renzo
