Putt Away Cancer is Saving Lives on Birthday at a Time

WazzupTonight | PuttAwayCancerPutt Away Cancer, founded by Marissa McKinnies,  is an organization that believes in raising community awareness about the many needs of cancer patients. “My sister, Leilani Davis,  was diagnosed by cancer,” Marissa explains. “I wanted to do something to honor her, because cancer is a terrible disease that wreaks havoc on the patient’s mental, physical, and emotional being. It also attacks the patient’s & their families’ financial resources. I decided to donate my birthday for a golf tournament to raise awareness and funds for cancer research.” Donate a birthday?! Hearing that brings a tear to the eye. You always hear someone donating time, money, but your birthday? That’s very inspiring. Marko Belinelli
