MIXTAPE REVIEWS: @ZoeyDollaz “Port-Au-Prince” Mixtape

Zoey-Dollaz-Port-Au-Prince-BackStraight from the (305), comes Mr @ZoeyDollaz with his anticipated mixtape entitled “Port-Au-Prince”.  Dropped exactly at 5:09 p.m. EST  on 7/5 — the project  was strategically released to those parameters as to pay homage to his Haitian roots by using the area code (509).  The significance of such was well received by the record downloads streams.   The mixtape resonates on a global platform for  those with an appreciation of the deep-rooted culture of Haiti.  As for the music itself, may I say, “Port – Au -Prince” was well worth the wait!  Since signing with  Future’s Freebandz Records, and consequently, to L.A. Reid’s Epic Records, which handles distribution for Future’s imprint; the airwaves have been on inferno in lieu of the project.  Simply insert – press play – and drift in and out of euphoria!

From the lead-off track, “For My People” to ” Ima Zoe (feat. Trump & Bruno Mali)”, one can witness the rich Haitian influence planted on every stanza.  A well-orchestrated  composition of tracks along with pristine production enhances the skill set of the  Allstar cast of producers!  Needless to say,  Zoey Dollaz definitely puts on for  “Port-Au-Prince”!  Without fail, Zoey fans will appreciate the fire feature appearances from K Camp, Future, Casey Veggies, Lil Durk, Brianna Perry and Cheeks Bossman to name a few.  A masterpiece in lament terms, but an exquisite timepiece for those in the know!   I will step out on a limb and give “Port-Au-Prince” the covenant title of Best of 2016… At least to my ears!

Rookie? Nah, not by far!  For those of you who’s been hiding under a rock for the past five years, Zoey first burst on the scene with “I Run AP”, a project that was recorded for a mere $350 dollars.  That was just an appetizer; for a short while after, Zoey  released  a burner  entitled “Blow a Check”, produced by Smash David.  The rest is history! The infectious track proved to be  the accelerate that created the firestorm of buzz which caught the ears of just about every major figga in the business.  Relentless work ethic, Zoey have worked with some of the Industries most sought after Heavy Weights – artists and producers such as Sean Combs, French Montana,DavEast, Smash David, TM88, Jay Burna, and Slim Jimmy.  Ask the streets who got the Juice?
