Los Angeles, CA – Perhaps we’ll give 50 Cent a call, and see if he can arrange Trump vs. Streep as an under card on the Chris Brown/Soulja Boy fight! Evidently, legendary actress Meryl Streep DOES NOT care for President-elect Donald Trump. Last night at the 74th Golden Globe Awards, Streep was presented with the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement. At a point during her acceptance speech, Meryl felt the need to get some things off of her chest regarding Trump and she didn’t give two shakes of a lamb’s tail who didn’t like it!
“There was one performance this year that stunned me. It sank its hooks in my heart. Not because it was good, there was nothing good about it, but it was effective and it did its job. It was that moment when the person asking to sit in the most respected seat in our country imitated a disabled reporter. Someone he outranked in privilege, power and the capacity to fight back. It kind of broke my heart when I saw it and I still can’t get it out of my head because it wasn’t in a movie, it was real life.”, Streep so passionately spoke out. “This instinct to humiliate, when it’s modeled by someone in the public platform, by someone powerful, it filters down into everyone’s life because it kind of gives permission for other people to do the same thing. Disrespect invites disrespect, violence invites violence. When the powerful use their position to bully others we all lose”.
Meryl Streep’s comments were in reference to a November 2015 rally held by Trump, when he imitated New York Times reporter Serge Kovaleski who has a condition that affects his joint movements. In response to Streep’s fiery comments, this morning Trump stated: “I was never mocking anyone. People keep saying I that I intended to mock the reporter’s disability, as if Meryl Streep and others could read my mind, and I did no such thing”. In addition, Trump called Streep a “Hillary lover”, adding that he was not surprised that he had come under attack from “liberal movie people”.
Oh, but Trump didn’t stop there! Early this morning, the President-elect tweeted that Streep was a “Hillary flunky who lost big” and “one of the most over-rated actresses in Hollywood”. WOW Trump, tell us what’s really on your mind!
Forget the under card, 50 and Floyd Mayweather may have to make Donald Trump vs. Meryl Streep the main event. WAZZUP TONIGHT would surely pay top dollar to watch that bout, our money is on Streep in the 3rd!!
