Recreational Marijuana | Latest States To Pass The Law

New York, NY – Who would have ever thought that weed, or as they call it on the streets that “sticky icky ooh wee”, would one day become legal and available to purchase in a store. Well that day has been dawned upon us, and now three additional states have recently joined the ranks, ready to cash in on what appears to be one of the next top multi-billion dollar industries.

Maine, Massachusetts, and Nevada, are three of the latest states to legalize marijuana for recreational use, though there is a catch. The passed recreational use law in each of the three states, has yet to take effect. In Nevada, adults will be able to legally possess up to one ounce of marijuana beginning January 1, 2017. Similarly, Massachusetts will allow for possession of marijuana starting on December 15th. Another recent ballot measure legalizing the recreational use of marijuana in Maine barely passed, but opponents are expected to request a recount. Washington, Colorado, Oregon, California, Alaska, and the District of Columbia thus far are the primary states to legalize weed for recreational use.

Getting in on the action too are several celebrities, that have recently launched their own cannabis products or/and strains. Snoop Dogg, Willie Nelson, Bob Marley, Tommy Chong, Wiz Khalifa, Ghostface Killah, The Game, Melissa Etheridge, Bethenny Frankel, Kevin SmithWhoopi Goldberg, and Rose McGowan are a few stars that have released their own marijuana brands. Celebrities we anticipate getting into the pot business eventually (if they are not already in it) are Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Dr. Dre, Seth Rogen, Ricky WilliamsIce Cube, and possibly even former president Bill Clinton.

We’ll surely keep you posted on future recreational marijuana law approvals and business endeavors. In the meantime, get your rolling papers and check out below some insane photos of the “happy plant”.
