New York, NY – Unless you’ve been hiding underneath a rock, we are all aware that rapper Lil Wayne is a huge sports fan. Lil Tunechi was so impressed with Green Bay Packer Ty Montgomery‘s first half performance today, that he stated he just may name his next kid or album TY MONTGOMERY!
Wayne’s overwhelming excitement regarding Montgomery is quite understandable, giving that Ty’s 123 rushing yards (in only 9 carries) in the first half is the most for a Green Bay Packer in the first half since Ahman Green ran for 133 yards (in 8 carries) against the Detroit Lions back in 2001. The main reason though Lil Wayne is going bananas, is because Ty Montgomery is not even a running back – he is a wide receiver!
Eddie Lacy, the Green Bay Packers starting running back, left the game today against the Chicago Bears due to an injury. Lacking support in the back field, the Packers head coach elected to place wide receiver Ty Montgomery into the running back position. Well Ty must of forgot he was a wide receiver, because he began rushing and shooting out of the holes like his name was Jim Brown! When the first half was all said and done, Montgomery ran for 123 yards setting a record.
Surely we’ll keep our eyes peeled to see if Lil Tunechi honors his word by naming is upcoming album or next conceived child after the talented NFL receiver/running back.
