Houston, Tx – February 5, 2017, will forever go down in history as the Greatest – Superbowl LI at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas between the NFL’s two Conference Champions battling for the right to become the best Football team in North America. Well, Congratulations to the New England Patriots, and a Great Season to the Atlanta Falcons. Both are class Acts! However, the conversation that will linger on the minds of millions for the next few months will be in admiration for the powerful entertainment display by the Legendary, Lady Gaga.
With the score 21-3 in favor of the Atlanta Falcons at halftime, the World shifted its attention from touchdowns and field goals to center field in lieu of the most anticipated performances for a halftime in recent memory. On perhaps America’s most epic stage, 300 drones, flashing of millions of light bulbs, and thousands of screaming fans in person cheered as Lady Gaga stole the show. Sponsored by Pepsi Zero, a brilliant display of the Pepsi Logo, in collaboration with the American Flag set the stage for Lady Gaga’s leap from the roof of NRG Stadium, supported by two cables onto a believable platform.
Dressed in a sequence leotard with neon shoulder pads and a bedazzled sequined face mask, Lady Gaga promptly took her place in history with a sharp guided 13 minutes of unbelievable choreography, guided lasers, and a pure brilliant display of artistry. The 30-year-old songstress began with a beautiful rendition of “God Bless America” and “This Land Is Your Land,” followed by her signature favorites “Born this Way”, and “Bad Romance.” A very fitting track list, giving energy to a nation that is currently under a state of division. Well Received!
Although many believed she would use the platform to make a controversial statement, the Star took the high road. I for one think it was a great decision. Who knew the night would become the most epic comeback by the World Champion New England Patriots. ~ Renzo
