New York, NY – Jon Bernthal is making a name for himself in the streets of Hollywood, California. Jon is already known for his intense acting skills, after portraying a tough-talking drug dealer in Martin Scorsese‘s “The Wolf of Wall Street” (starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill), and after playing the cunning and fearless “Shane Walsh” on the hit TV series “The Walking Dead“. Nowadays, Jon is becoming recognized as one of Hollywood’s premier hunks, displaying boyish good looks with a hardened muscular frame that’s enough to make even the newly singled Jennifer Lopez consider him possibly as her next boo thing.
Jonathan Edward Bernthal was born and raised in Washington, D.C.. Jon left to study at The Moscow Art Theatre School, in Moscow, Russia, where he also played professional baseball. While in Moscow, Bernthal’s acting talent was discovered by the executive director of Harvard University‘s Institute for Advanced Theater Training at the American Repertory Theater (Cambridge, Massachusetts). Since then Jon has starred in several blockbuster films such as “Sicario” (starring Benicio Del Toro and Emily Blunt), “Fury” (starring Brad Pitt and Michael Peña), and “The Accountant” (starring Ben Affleck and Anna Kendrick).
Jon’s devilish good looks, has women around the world turning their heads towards his direction suddenly. In 2017, Bernthal will star as “Frank Castle” in the new Netflix television series “The Punisher“, with his charisma and debonairness making him the perfect candidate for the rugged role. Although Jon may be winning the hearts of many ladies these days, he’s simultaneously breaking those hearts more so due to the fact that he is off the market. Bernthal is currently married to Erin Angle, the niece of professional wrestler Kurt Angle.
