Atlanta, Georgia — They say, “If you love someone, set them free. If they come back they’re yours; if they don’t they never were.” Well, that phrase must have some sort of truth to it . . . because Pop icon, Janet Jackson, is now officially back on with her former beau, Jermaine Dupri!
Eight years after the 51-year-old “Rhythm Nation” singer, and Dupri, 45, terminated their seven-year romance, they’re picking up right back where they left off. As Jackson concluded the United States leg of her State of the World tour on Sunday at STK, she was too commemorating “new” beginnings. Throughout the show’s after party in ATL, the Nutty Professor II: The Klumps actress was accompanied by a surprise guest: you guessed it . . . Jermaine Dupri. An insider spoke of the affair: “They were cuddled up and holding hands. They are 100 percent back together and in love.”
Jackson’s misadventure began after her volatile April split from spouse Wissam Al Mana, father to her almost 1-year-old son, Eissa. When the songstress was with Al Mana, she and JD “had zero communication — she would not talk to him,” declares the insider. Therefore when she concluded their marriage, “Jermaine reached out,” the source states. “They are getting to know each other all over again.”
Awwww — well with all of that said, we are extremely happy for these two. We wish Mr. Dupri and Ms. Jackson (“if you’re nasty”) the best of luck in their future endeavors.
