Humanitarian of the Year| Who Knew; Ri Ri a Harvard Award Recipient? | @wazzuptonight

Boston, MA – Well, it seems Rihanna does more than “Work, Work, Work”, these days!  The reports are true; Ri Ri was at Harvard University Tuesday afternoon receiving the Harvard Humanitarian of the Year Award for 2017.  Looking stunningly in an off the shoulder Monse dress, Rihanna was all smiles as she excepted the award for her generosity and humanitarian efforts throughout the World.  Deservingly so! From purchasing radiotherapy equipment for the oncology unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Barbados, to launching global scholarship program through the foundation which helps residents of Barbados, Brazil, Cuba, Haiti, Guyana, Jamaica and the United States go to college, Rhianna has, and continues to help many.
“The pop star and fashion icon we have all grown to love and adore proves she is more than the Grammy nominated songs, or a collection of dance moves. Its the moral fiber that makes character, and Rihanna has personified that she has a heart of gold not only for those in her country, but for everyone within her reach.
Rihanna headlines award shows, fashion magazines and bejeweled flask memes,” one student announcer said, referring to photos of the singer at this year’s Grammy award show with a flask coated in tiny jewels. “Today we are writing a different headline, and that’s Rihanna the humanitarian.”
Rihanna uses her wealth, and influence on a global scale as she advocates for health care and education for young women. Rihanna, moved to the United States from Bridgetown, Barbados at age 16 to begin a career in music. When she was 18, she founded the BELIEVE Foundation, a charity to help critically ill children. Six years later, in 2012, she established the Clara Lionel Foundation, named for her grandparents.
In 2012, Time Magazine included Rihanna on its 100 Most Influential People in the World issue. To this day, she continues to inspire and move people all over the world. It is an amazing testament of the singers commitment to the advancement of humanity.
What an week! Rihanna turns 29, and this week signifies her 30th top 10 hit on the Billboard Top 100 chart! Happy Birthday and Congratulations!
