Wazzup Film Corner | “Fences” starring Denzel Washington, Viola Davis | @wazzuptonight

New York, NY – With nearly 2 months removed from one of the most controversial presidential elections in recent memory, the Nation has become under the assumptions of change.  Despite the politics of the matter, we must hold onto hope, peace, and prosperity. To serve as a subtle reminder of how far we’ve come, Paramount Pictures offers the epic film, “Fences“.
The story of a one-time promising baseball player (played by Oscar-winning actor Denzel Washington), now working as a Pittsburgh garbage collector, contrasts the complicated relationships with his wife (Viola Davis) and son (Jovan Adepo). Denzel (Troy Maxson) is an African American father struggling to find equality while raising his family.  to endure and persevere in the comings of strife.
Directing himself in a role that many would consider a perfect fit, Mr. Washington pours himself into the character from the onset. The dialogue between Washington’s character (Troy Maxson) and his close friend, Bono ( played by Stephen Henderson) draws the comparison to one of the most iconic performances of all time.
Produced by Washington, Scott Rudin, and Todd Black.
A beacon of how far we have come; but a reminder of how far we must go!
