“Get Uugly”
New York, New York – There’s something to be said about a song that leaves listeners in deep thought! Well, “Get Uugly”, the first release from Duckwrth upcoming EP “I’m Uugly”, meets the prerequisite in dramatic fashion. A funky feel good tune which immediately warrants attitude with gratitude in the same stroke of the brush! The high energy track has an infectious feel that invokes the soul, giving life to the celebration of one’s expression. Finally, a song that actually has a message!
The song is a direct reflection of Duckwrth’s perception of the records’ feel, as quoted:
“Funk is the pheromones that attract two, and the act of love happens. In this love-making, nothing is held back, nothing is pretty. Sweat, aromas, moans and screams, gripping and grinding. Nothing is pretty; all is Funky.Let’s Get Uugly.”
To match the energy of the infectious track, Duckwrth solicits the artistic direction of director Mancy Gant. The California native remains true to vibes and sunshine, with an intense performance! The wave intensifies with the addition of ChannelTr3s, who joins in sync with his choreography giving the perfect complement. The video highlights Duckwrth’s distinct style as he displays how to get funky. In addition, Duckwrth includes an extended version of “GET UUGLY,” with a feature from singer Georgia Anne Muldrow, available on SoundCloud. Produced by LIKE and mixed by Neal Pogue, the extended version adds more punch to the already explosive track.
