DANI “Love U More”
Vancouver, BC – Upon our arrival at the Vancouver International Airport in Richmond, British Columbia, the Wazzup Tonight’s crew main focus: infiltrate Vancouver’s vibrant music scene. On our mission, the one name we kept hearing from the natives on Granville Street was “DANI“. From there, our research began in search of the urban-pop songstress. Unfortunately, our short visit expired before we caught up with DANI; however, we did manage to discover the undying support she has in Vancouver! An unbelievable following! Believe me, building support in one’s own backyard has become a daunting task to not be taken lightly.

Armed with the single and visual for “Love U More“, DANI has quickly become the talk around town. A gladiator in the ring of emotion, DANI pours her heart onto canvas to paint a picture only understood by few! Recovering from a relationship with a drug addict, DANI, candidly opens a dark chapter full of mental and emotional despair. The results equal a powerful composition which travels by ear, but resides in the soul! As for the visual, both DANI and director Chad Rook collaborated to illustrate the story of pain, anxiety, and loss. Although DANI relives a mirage of memories from the turbulent relationship, She eventually finds herself on a mountaintop, symbolizing liberation at last. Originally written over two years ago with producer Omar Khan, “Love U More’ is an outcry of emotions; however, tears of emotion can serve as the comfort to pain!
Although there has been no release date for an album or EP, we can be sure that one is in the works! I find pleasure and hope which resonates in a time of reasoning! DANI is an Amazing Songwriter and Vocalist with a message! ~ Renzo

There is a deep dark place inside me which comes out when writing a song. The lyrics are reminiscent of a time I felt love for someone even though they were unable to reciprocate. It was such a distinct feeling, as it alluded to unconditional love that love can’t be, unless the one you love; is giving it back. I feel this happens a lot in this day and age. People unable to commit to relationships but are left starving for human connection. This type of love is dangerous and full of allusions.
I used to be in a relationship with a drug addict. I felt the direct push and pull of love. One day he loved me, the next he was out the door looking for his fix. I stayed in the relationship because I wanted to ‘save him’ and help him get better. I didn’t realize giving him all my energy and time was only sucking me dry of my own wants and dreams. Spent many years allowing this person to hold me back from my success and financially being able to launch my career. Whenever I write songs, I revert back to this time as it was such a substantial and revolutionary time in my life. I felt the trivial ups and downs as they crashed through my soul. Although there were heartaches, I learned how to love myself. Music was my only medicine and with that, I feel that was my way of getting through that hell hole I’d put myself in. Any song I write for this project will be with this theme as it’s the most harsh part of my life. I believe people can relate to this and want to hear about it. Love is cliche for a reason.
