Manhattan, NY – If a picture is worth a thousand words, than that video is worth like a GAZILLION TRILLION words!! Perhaps the biggest talent showcase to be held in New York City in 2017 went down this past Tuesday night, and it was nothing short of a movie. “Mental Supreme Presents: “The $5,000 Showcase”. $5,000 (CASH) Grand Prize” – was held at the Nuyorican Cafe on the Lower East Side. The event was hosted by the legendary Mental Supreme and judged by Joy Daily, Kevin Weekes, Love & Hip Hop New York’s Lore’l, and WAZZUP Tonight‘s boss with the yellow diamond Konvict arms crossed D-Teck.

Yes it was litty up in there as you can see. The crowd came out to show major love and support; and the performers came out to secure that d*mn bag!! Singers, rappers, with rock star ensembles and commercial sounding tunes tore down the stage in an effort to show the judges that they are the next big thing in music.
As the prolific Nas best put it: “They let me let y’all n*ggas know one thing, There’s one life, one love, so there can only be one King”. When the acts were done, the music cut off, and all of the smoke cleared, there’s was only one King standing victorious – and that King was rapper Big East from Brooklyn.
Big East took home the $5,000 top prize, received a single distribution deal courtesy of Wazzup Media Group/Bungalo Records exclusively distributed by Universal Music Group, and a 1-on-1 interview with Jack Thriller on his “Party And Bullsh*t” show. Thursday morning, Big East joined D-Teck and WAZZUP’s very own Kim “Princess” Bremmer on their “Street Talk Radio” show on WVIP 93.5 FM to discuss his monumental win and his future plans/goals in the rap game.
